Gordon Environmental, Inc. (GEI) is a New Mexico based
consulting firm that specializes in landfill engineering and compliance.
GEI has established a national reputation for transfer station
planning, design, and project implementation.
We have established a track record of complex project accomplishments
and satisfied clients by relying upon a diverse organization of talented
engineers and scientists. Our staff
includes five NM Professional Engineers with over 100 years of combined
experience. GEI is committed to
providing high-quality services to a select number of clients and projects.
Our project workload is dominated by repeat clients or referrals,
which we believe is a testimonial to our consistent, high-quality
performance.
GEI has obtained more
solid waste permits and approvals from the New Mexico Environment Department
(NMED) than any other firm.
GEI is the Engineer-of-Record for most of the regional landfills in
New Mexico. Our relationship with
NMED’s Solid Waste Bureau (SWB) includes active participation in current
projects; volunteer instruction at SWB training courses; comments on
regulatory revisions; and chairing one of the working groups updating the
state-wide Solid Waste Plan. We are
responsible for air, groundwater, and surface water monitoring and
compliance at 20 landfill sites in NM.
GEI has provided construction plans, bid phase services, and CQA for
35 New Mexico Subtitle D landfill cells since 1995.
We have obtained NMED approval for over 20 Closure/Post-closure Plans
for MSW Landfills, and have provided oversight for closure construction at
10 facilities. GEI principals
have managed over fifty transfer station planning and design projects in the last
twenty years. GEI experience includes
diversity in project location (fifteen states); design capacity (10 to
10,000 tons/day); and processing technologies.
